I hired Michael Peterson in March, 2003 as our IT Manager and Senior Software Engineer. Michael left AIS in October 2003 when our business closed its Lauderhill office.
Although he is mostly an application developer, Michael proved himself flexible. In his first month he stabilized a poorly built network. He then hired a network engineer who turned it into a Windows 2003 showcase with 99.99% uptime. It became so stable the staff were delighted. Michael was both quick on his feet and careful to design permanent solutions. He would make them happen as company income allowed. He is both an IT “pro” and a businessman who always thinks about ways to save money.
During his seven months with us, Michael performed three large database projects. “Playing all the parts,” he carried out these .NET projects well ahead of schedule. He kept us organized with signoffs on system business requirements and testing. We had no problems with any of his programs; in fact, they exceeded the requirements. His most visible accomplishment was our award-winning web site that gave AIS a stable base of 50 – 60 sales leads per week.
Michael contributed more than just his official role by going extra distance to grow our company. Together with his network engineer and myself, he invented pay-per-click search engine strategies that cut the cost of sales leads from $40 to $25 in three weeks.
Michael showed us a great deal of technical wizardry and made things better while staying totally dedicated to our success. He has a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and lots of energy. His passion, ‘smarts’ and business sense got him respect from everyone at AIS. I admired most his desire to work as a team player. I would rehire Michael in a heartbeat if in need of an IT Manager or software engineer. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (954) 288-4730 or email me at knowledgeinc@aol.com with any questions.
